Thalassemics India's project focuses on creating happiness for Thalassemia Major children by organising fun-filled visits. Thalassemics India believes in holistic development of the thalassemia major fighters. The aim is to build friendship between other Thalassemia Major patients & their families. The idea is to create a distinctive environment for the patients, to keep them happy and entertained.

Visit to Kingdom of Dreams: 22nd June,2018

This was our pleasure to take 63 Thalassemia patients/parents to give them the pleasure of experiencing spectacular" Zangoora show" at Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon. This could not be possible without the help of Icreon and team. We are glad that children enjoyed very much.


Visit to Taj Mahal, Agra: 08 Sept.,2018

''Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything beautiful, for beauty is God's handwriting''. -Ralph Waldo Emerson Thalassemics India has organized a visit to Taj Mahal, Agra on 8th sept,2018. A group of 41 thalassemia patients/parents has experienced the beauty of miraculous monument. They had sumptuous lunch at Hotel Radisson Blu, Agra.

Annual Picnic : 28th March,2016

Thalassemics India's annual Picnic held on 28th March, at the "Worlds of Wonder", Noida- The group was managed by Rekha Arora.

Summer Funk: 13 June,2015

Thalassemics India is grateful to Victory Arts Foundation for having given our thalassemia children an opportunity to perform in the Summer Funk,2015 at Sri fort Auditorium on 13th June. These 10 Dancers had given a stunning performance even on 8th May International Thalassemia Day.

Visit to ISKCON Temple:

A group of 65 thalassemia children and their parents were taken to the Iskcon temple New Delhi for (Gita Saar Utsav ). The 2 hour programme at Iskcon temple auditorium included movie, games & gifts for all.
The visit was organized in association with ISKCON .

Annual Picnic / Outing: 20 May,2015

On May 20th, fifty Thalassemics and their parents were taken to Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon to see the show ‚ÄėJhumroo". The second batch was taken to KOD on June 17nth. After the show the children are given smart cards which allow them entry to the culture gully and get some snacks.

Visit To Kingdom of Dreams : 27th March,2014

Thalassemics India took thalassemia children and their families to Kingdom of Dreams,Gurgaon for a fun filled picnic on 27th March. 266 persons including children came for the show "Zangoora" which was followed by snacks for all. The show was thoroughly enjoyed by the children and their family members.

Visit to Adventure Island: 08th May,2014

We took a group of 380 people of thalassemic children, their parents and paramedical staff for a visit to Adventure Island on 8th May. It was a day out for them from morning till late afternoon. Children enjoyed the various rides and water games followed by lunch. The day was very hot but no one cared about the heat and enjoyed the day with their families and friends.

A visit to Kingdom of Dreams: 03 April,2013

A group of 200 thalassemics & their parents visited Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon to watch the most famous musical comedy show "JHUMROO" on stage with bollywood songs. Thanks to the organizers for giving them an opportunity to enjoy the show.


Abu Dhabi Conference: 2013
The society supported the visit of 3 of our members (thalassemics) to the 13th International Conference on Thalassemia and Hemoglobinopathies and 15th TIF International Conference for Parents and Patients, Abu Dhabi .

The TIF International Conference for Patients and Parents was held in Abu Dhabi from October 20-24, 2013. Thalassemics India selected 3 patient members to participate in the conference as delegates representing India. Two others-Hemant Bellani and Sukhsohit Singh also attended the conference. These conferences are not only a great learning experience in terms of the newer developments but also an opportunity to meet with many other patients and parents from other parts of the world and to learn how they are managing and treating thalassemia.


The conference was held at JW Marriott hotel, Hanoi. This event was attended by more than 700 delegates spanning 19 countries . The importance attached to this educational event is reflected through the participation of His Excellency the Minister of Health of Vietnam, Representative of ASEAN and SEARO WHO, Her Highness Sheikha Sheikha Bint Seif Al-Nahyan, a distinguished member of TIF's Board of Directors.
The programme was divided into two parts running concurrently: the Scientific programme and the Patients'/ Parents' programme.
Thalassemics India is grateful to TIF for sponsoring four thalassemics from India.

14th International Conference on Thalassaemia & Haemoglobinopathies and 16thTIF International Conference for Patients and Parents, Greece

Thalassemics India was well represented by Shobha Tuli, Gagandeep Singh, Anubha Taneja, Hemant Bellani, Viresh Piplani, Shivangi Amrit, Nehal Dhingra and Anuj Wadhera. Anubha Taneja's talk was part of the opening ceremony and was very well received by all. There was also a stall of Thalassemics India which had information material on Thalassemia and other literature printed and published by Thalassemics India. This conference saw a large representation of patients and parents from all over India.
The conference spoke about the newer drugs and their stages of research..among many other newer protocols in management of Thalassemia.

We are happy to announce that Mrs. Shobha Tuli, Secretary, Thalassemics India has been re-elected Vice President of Thalassaemia International Federation.
