Helping Hands

Thalassemics India "Helping Hands" Project is to help underprivileged thalassemia major patients .

Under this project, Thalassemics India has been supporting more than 200 patients since the year 2000 by giving them free of cost blood leucocyte filters, chelation drugs, infusion pumps and needles.

This has been possible because of the donations that we have been receiving from donors.

As part of this project, Dr. Malcolm Walker & his team members from UCL, London, gave consultations to more than 100 patients on 10-14 November,2018. Dr. V.K. Khanna, Dr. Amita Mahajan and Dr. Rajiv Bansal and the team of Thalassemics India helped in organizing the check up clinics and making all necessary arrangements at the imaging centres.
50 patients were selected from NDMC, Lady Hardinge, Apollo Hospitals, GTB Hospital,St. Stephens Hospital, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital for getting their T2 MRI done in Delhi at the Mahajan Imaging Centre and 50 patients scans were done in Jaipur at Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital,
